about

Upon hearing the news of Matt Saunder's last minute decision to run away to Denver, CO, and after Daniel Howard's told about his decision to move to Boston, MA, we scrounged up some money and did a live recording in a friend's apartment above an Italian restaurant. There were problems: weird bass fuzz, Larissa lost her voice cos she drank too much Jameson, the whole building filled with smoke after the owner of said Italian restaurant left bread in an oven, you know, recording problems. But finally, after months of mixing, a little bit of re-recording, and computer confusion, it is done! The first and last album of Mr. Tad.

Thanks to Adam Lansky (of Adam Lansky Sound) for bringing his entire recording studio to Russellville, AR, and recording us live, staying way too late, and being patient and upbeat about every problem we hit along the way.
Thank you to Andrea Parker, for letting us use her room into the wee hours of the night to record.
Thank you to Carl Fidurski for letting us use his apartment in Conway to do the final vocals to finish up the very last bit of the album.

They surely do love to play. ... more
